Dr. Barry Sears's Zone Diet has remained extremely popular since its inception. The concept of the Zone Diet is to balance the intake of protein, fat and carbohydrates in rigid proportions. Saturated fats are avoided. Supplementation with Omega-3 fish oils and exercise are also a part of the program.
The Zone Cuisine program is designed to deliver the proper balance of carbs, protein and fats in each meal.
Unfortunately, our testers who tried the Zone Diet delivery program did not lose as much weight as those who were on Nutrisystem. Some of our testers also experienced reliability issues with their daily deliveries. Read more details of our discoveries below.

Price point is excessive, especially the Complete Program ($33.95 per day plus tax and shipping charges). Certain geographical shipping limitations; they have an online zip code form to check if delivery is available in your area or not. Less weight loss than Nutrisystem.

According to the Zone at home website, each meal is prepared by specially-trained chefs. Our testers uniformly commented on the high quality and excellent taste of the Zone Diet meals. If the dieter is a food person or a gourmand, this is likely the program for her.
The Zone Diet as home program has two available delivery options. The first Zone diet at home delivery option is frozen meals that are delivered weekly. Under this option you have to make your own snacks. The second zone diet at home option is to have your daily meals delivered fresh to your home. This option includes your snacks and all the food is fresh and ready to eat. This option has limited delivery options. You can check if this program is available in your area on the website. If you live anywhere else in the country you should consider Nutrisystem or, as a last resort, the Jenny Craig program instead.
Each meal and supplement comes packaged in a disposable container. The multitude of plastic generated by each day's meals concerned a few of our testers. The Zone Diet meal plan might want to consider lower-volume packaging.
Ultimately, the diet program is about overall health and weight loss. Though our testers reported feeling quite good while on the Zone Diet, they did not lose as much weight as those on the Nutrisystem plan. For that reason and the others outlined above, the Zone Cuisine program receives a tentative buy recommendation.
